Bhakti-yoga is the path of loving devotion to God, especially to Sri Krishna. The word “bhakti” means devotion or love, and “yoga” means union, so Bhakti-yoga is the process of connecting with the Divine through love and devotion. It is a very natural and joyful practice, where one develops a personal relationship with God by chanting His holy names, praying, serving, and remembering Him in daily life. Unlike other types of yoga that focus on physical postures or deep meditation, Bhakti-yoga is about offering one’s heart completely to God. Anyone can practice it, regardless of background or situation, because it does not require renunciation of the world. Instead, it teaches how to spiritualize everyday activities by doing them with devotion. By engaging in Bhakti-yoga, one experiences inner peace, happiness, and ultimately, the highest spiritual realization—pure love for God.
